To receive a Special Interest Vehicle (SIV) letter from the club you must be a current financial member and own an eligible vehicle.
Please allow up to 10 days for the club to respond.
It is a condition of SIV registration that the vehicle operator MUST belong to a QLD Incorporated Vehicle Club (such as the Queensland Saab Club).
The SIV Concessional Registration MUST be removed if the registered owner is no longer a current (financial) member of a QLD Incorporated car club or association.
Use of the vehicle while NOT a member (or in contravention of any other SIV restriction, e.g. driving to or from work) now carries a penalty of $2,757 for a vehicle up to 4.5 tonnes and $8,271 for heavier vehicles.
Queensland Saab Club may be asked by Queensland Transport or the Queensland Police as to the status of someone claiming to be a financial member of the Queensland Saab Club.
